Satori is a scale-up, well on track to become the leading data and analytics company in South-Eastern Europe and already a 55+ specialized tech team, consisting of Data Scientists, Software Engineers, QAs, and CRM Specialists, delivering innovative data, tech, and customer experience solutions. The majority of our clients are household names and global brands in FMCG, retail, ecommerce, financial services, and travel, with a footprint in Greece but also across Europe and beyond.
We are currently looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our expert Data & AI Transformation practice.
What’s the role about?
In short, you take ownership of one or more accounts. You make sure that your projects are smoothly executed, that we provide an excellent value to our client, and you identify the next steps for account growth.
At the same time, we have your back. You will find that your input will be highly valued and acted upon. We succeed or fail together.
You can be either an experienced manager, responsible for the delivery of tech/data-centric projects who is ready for making an impact at a real expert data and AI company or an experienced, hands-on engineer/consultant that is ready to move on to a more senior, account management position.
On any particular day you will be doing several of the following:
Communicate with the client (as well as Satori management) about the state of the project, future needs and planning.
Report and explain progress to the client. Provide clear information about complex or delayed developments and be there to answer their questions.
Your projects will involve the latest cloud technologies (typically an Azure or AWS stack), tools, and methodologies.
Help to shape new proposals and upselling opportunities for both new and existing clients.
Organise the project teams, so that everyone is crystal clear on how they can add the most impact to the project on any given day. Participate in agile team meetings such as daily stand ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
Participate in design sessions with a Solution Architect, BA’s, Developers, Data Engineers, and other roles.
Design, track, and report on success criteria and KPIs for each project.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
Strategic and business acumen: You have to be able to develop a good understanding of the organization, its strategy and the market. You will be expected to identify a project’s benefits and impact to a client, so you can win buy-in and achieve business goals. You make it your business to know your clients’ needs, spoken and unspoken, often before they do themselves. You proactively scout for unmet needs and ways to grow the account and you are always on the look for opportunities to delight, above and beyond the project specifications.
Subject-matter expertise: You need to possess a reasonably proficient understanding of the solutions and services Satori is implementing and of the technologies involved. You do not have to be a deep technical expert in those fields but it’d be great if you are. You are expected to clearly communicate in the language of the experts and at the same time be able to translate technical jargon to understandable business priorities and goals for non-technical people, especially on the client side. You can consult the client on the best way forward in their situation.
Client-first attitude: You understand that perception and emotion are a critical part of the value delivered to the client, too. You’re honest (no smoke screens) but you cater to emotional needs as well as functional ones. You build trust and confidence in Satori. You are not afraid to communicate your opinion because you have gained their trust. You empathise with their situation, especially when the project is under pressure, and translate that understanding to the team. You build long-lasting relationships with your clients.
Project Management/ Problem solving skills: You are able to use tools and techniques to realistically plan a project and identify risks, in close collaboration with a team of technical experts. You monitor execution and quality and clearly communicate progress. You make sure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Positive attitude: You care not only about your job but for the team and the organization. You proactively communicate because you understand that communication is key to effective collaboration. To be considered for the role we ask that you have:
5+ years experience in the technology sector and preferably in data engineering, cloud engineering, data science, or analytics , at least 3 of which should be in client facing roles.
Been educated to degree level or equivalent qualification, preferably in quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics & Maths, or Physics.
Fluency in English and Greek. The ability to write and present to a high standard.
A successful candidate will probably bring some or all of the following -non obligatory but nice to have-attributes to the table:
Experience in high-paced, high-accountability professional environments (scale-ups, start-ups) or consultancy environments.
Managerial experience (Project manager / Program Manager / Product Owner / Account Manager), ideally in technology development projects.
Practical knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban/Lean) and Waterfall project management methodologies
Previous hands-on experience implementing tech/data/analytics projects for clients.
